A unique via ferrata experience
Craving a big adventure with a splash of refreshment? Read on to discover the perfect place to cool off in the mountains.
In the neighbouring Ötztal valley, an unforgettable via ferrata awaits your conquest. What sets this climbing experience apart? The via ferrata route passes by the Stuibenfall, Tyrol’s tallest waterfall. It’s the perfect spot for an adventurous August outing during your holiday with us!
The via ferrata has been excellently developed and is equipped with numerous clamps and fixed wire ropes, making it an ideal choice for beginners and families with kids. The journey starts with a trek across a secured rock face, followed by an ascent directly along the left side of the majestic waterfall. As you climb, the refreshing mist from the Stuibenfall Waterfall provides a delightful cool-down. Surefootedness and a good head for heights are crucial; however, the awe-inspiring views make every step worth the effort. For an added thrill at the end, you can cross the 159-metre-high Stuibenfall Waterfall itself via a rope bridge for a truly epic experience – the sheer power of the water cascading beneath you is a priceless feeling!
