Carved into the rock over thousands of years, these cascading waterfalls are spectacular sights that will inspire you and your family.

The Pfitschebach Waterfall is especially impressive. Its raw power is on full display as crystal-clear water crashes over the rocks and plunges into the valley below, leaving you in a state of awe. You don’t just see the elemental force at work – you hear and feel it with every fibre of your being. The thunderous roar is almost meditative, inviting you to pause, recharge, and gain a fresh perspective.

Getting there is easy. The short and gentle hike to the Pfitschebach Waterfall is suitable for all ages and all fitness levels. Start at the Hotel Liesele Sonne bus stop in St. Leonhard and follow the signs for the waterfall. After a few minutes of walking along a farm road, a trail veers left toward the Tiefentalalm Alpine pasture. About 15 minutes later, you’ll reach a viewing platform with an unforgettable view of the falls. Don’t forget your camera – when the sunlight catches the mist, it creates a magical photo opportunity!

For the return journey, you can choose from several scenic routes. We recommend stopping at the cosy Neubergalm mountain hut for a well-earned break and a bite.
