SDuring your vacation in Austria, you can experience a thrilling ride and sculpt your calf muscles as you traverse the breathtaking Pitztal valley by mountain bike! Discover the exhilarating Hochzeiger Family Trail, which caters to both beginners and downhill pros alike. Unveiled in June 2022, this impressive trail spans a remarkable seven kilometres. With a manageable gradient, it is ideal for families with children, promising excitement and enjoyment for all. Starting at the mountain station of the Hochzeiger gondola, at 2,000 metres above sea level, the route follows the Witches’ Trail towards the Hochzeigerhaus. As you venture further, you’ll make your way through a stone pine forest near the Bärensteig. Several rest areas along the way offer opportunities to take a break and refuel. The trail ends at the valley station of the Hochzeiger gondola at 1,450 metres above sea level, where you will also find a rental station and a place to wash your bike. You can purchase a day ticket or a 4-hour ticket for the gondola lift if you want to whiz down the trail more often. Or opt for a single ticket – the choice is yours!
