Around Sportalm, your Tyrolean hotel, you’ll find a unique mountain world. An important feature of this landscape is Kaunergrat nature park – a 586km² natural jewel. This is also where you’ll find our hotel’s power animal, the Alpine ibex. With a little luck, you’ll be able to spot one of these fascinating animals during a hike through the nature park. But there are also many other hiking highlights – simply ask summit-stormer Sepp, our “Sportalm Guru”, who will be happy to advise you. As a passionate mountaineer, he used to conquer more than 60,000 metres of elevation a year and knows the area like the back of his hand. His expertise and recommendations will guarantee you have an unforgettable mountain experience.

• Hike to Braunschweiger hut

This challenging hike up to the hut at 2,759 metres above sea level is a tour for experienced mountain lovers. But once you’ve powered your way up to your goal, you’ll be rewarded with a fantastic Alpine panorama.
